The small print, in plain words.
Every fee includes
- Your therapist’s time, and their regular clinical supervision
- A room in the house, tea in the kitchen, the garden between sessions
- A review together every six weeks, so you know it’s working
- Changing therapist if the fit isn’t right, with no fee for the switch
- A receipt for every session, for your records or an insurer
- Paying
- By card after each session, in the house or by a secure link we email after online sessions. No packages, no deposits, nothing paid in advance.
- Cancelling
- Give us 48 hours’ notice and there’s no charge. With less notice the full fee is due, because the hour was kept for you. If we can offer the time to someone else, we won’t charge.
- Insurance
- Some of our therapists are recognised by private medical insurers. Check your policy for outpatient mental health cover, then tell us on the free call and we’ll match you with someone it covers.
- Employers
- If your employer has agreed to pay, we can invoice them directly each month. You choose what, if anything, they’re told beyond dates and fees.
Lower-fee places, kept open.
£40an individual session
£60a couples session
We keep twelve places at a lower fee for students, people on a low income or benefits, and anyone the full fee would keep away. We don’t ask for payslips: tell us on the free call. When the places are full we keep a short waiting list, and we’ll tell you honestly how long it is.

Questions about money.
The things people ask before they feel able to book. Anything else, Maya will answer on the phone.
It depends on the therapist and their training. Counsellors are £75; psychotherapists with longer clinical training are £85. We tell you the fee before you book, and it doesn’t change partway through.
No. The first call is fifteen minutes by phone or video, and it’s free whether or not you go on to book. Nobody will chase you afterwards.
No, they cost the same. It’s the same therapist and the same fifty minutes, only the room is different.
Students, people on a low income or benefits, and anyone for whom the full fee would stop them coming. We don’t ask for payslips. Mention it on the free call.
Tell us as soon as you can. If you’re well enough, we’ll offer to move the session online instead. We’re sensible about genuine illness.
We review fees once a year and give at least two months’ notice of any change. If you’re already seeing someone, your fee stays the same until your next review.
Start with the free part.
Fifteen minutes by phone or video. Ask about fees, a lower-fee place or your insurance, and we’ll suggest who might suit you.
